ERP for Negative Body Image
Dr. Brad MacNeil
Dr. MacNeil will be offering a virtual training on the treatment of body dissatisfaction using exposure with response prevention (ERP). Participants will engage in this 2 hour workshop where they will learn about behavioral theory, principles of exposure, the role of fixing, checking, social comparison and avoidance in negative body image, and how to design ERP hierarchies and behavioral experiments. Special topics include body image and social media, group therapy, and delivery in virtual formats
This training is targeted for graduate students, post docs, and professionals in the mental health fields. Attendees will receive complimentary materials C.B.T. worksheets for use in their practice setting.

Behavioral Activation for Depression

Dr. MacNeil will be offering a virtual training on Behavioral Activation (BA) for Depression,. Depression commonly affects a large number of adolescents and adults across North America and yet access to evidence-based treatments like BA are a challenge). Participants will engage in this 2 hour workshop where they will learn about the CBT session structure, behavioral component of depression, self-monitoring, collaborative graded task assignment, routine outcomes monitoring, and lapse and relapse prevention. Special topics include interdisciplinary care and working with prescribers. This training is targeted for graduate students, post docs, and professionals in the mental health fields. Foundations of Psychotherapy

Dr. MacNeil will be offering a virtual training on the foundations of psychotherapy with an emphasis on developing micro skills (e.g., attending behavior, paraphrasing, accurate empathy etc.), Socratic questioning, and guided discovery. Special topics include the integration of these foundational skills into evidence-based practice.

ACT in an Open Group Format for Adult Eating Disorders

Dr. MacNeil will be offering a virtual training on the use of an ACT adjunct group treatment for adult eating disorders that can be delivered in an open group format. Participants will engage in this 2 hour workshop where they will learn about the core components of ACT, therapeutic timing and consideration for adjunctive treatments to core evidence-based care, and how to modify treatment components for work with adults with an eating disorder.
